21 Lessons for 21st Century Preetika, Rachel, Som, Kumar Saurabh & Savitha 1)Agree on what the author says, misuse of technology has already happened. 2)Who controls the technologies that are being implemented and brought about in society? 3)Disagreement -Humans always will have an edge over whatever technologies. 4)AI makes things perfect. What is the need of getting perfect? Human consciousness plays a great role in making choices. We should define how AI should be. 5)AI has to match pace of humans or we match the pace of AI? Organic vs inorganic the competition is not justifiable. 6)Jobs in the area of human care – should we be putting a value of money? 7)Human consciousness plays a key role 8)Labour class voice is getting lost in the process of the capitalists having the control on what needs to be brought into market? Divide among the class keeps growing. 9)Most human tendencies being pattern based however there is more to it and understanding this is required as this creates a sense of hope. 10)If human beings stick to only survival mode how would this span out? Value of work and meaning of it. 11)Merger of AI & biotech is scary as it can make us irrelevant. But how does it make us irrelevant? Makes it messier. 12)Redefining the purpose of life. 13) Elderly could already have become irrelevant as they are not able to adapt to it. 14)How does the merger take away jobs? Not very convincing. 15)Humans are better in designing or inventing a technology than using it. 16)Humans have always been anthropocentric in their approach. Have we not made many things irrelevant in this process? Is it not design of the evolution that someday something better than human species will evolve? And is technology, specifically AI standing in this place? 17)Would AI enable us to stop taking our careers and job so dead seriously which we have been doing for last 100 years or so from the industrial revolution times? Would it enable human beings to channelize their potential in more human relevant fields, since the AI robots will do all our jobs? 18)Encouraging the originality and creativity, internalization of the learnings can bring forth unique value of every human being which cannot be replaced by the AI algorithms. So where have we lost this?
